Frugi, one of the leading UK-based childrenswear brands, known for its colourful styles and organic cotton, has made history by launching the planet’s first certified circular children’s clothing collection, certified by the Circular Textiles Foundation, thus truly committing to sustainable fashion. The brand’s efforts were recently celebrated with the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Award for Best Circularity Initiative in 2024, adding to its list of achievements which also includes winning the National Recycling Awards in 2022. This recognition underscores Frugi's dedication to a shift towards circular fashion.

The essence of the project

Frugi has created a fully recyclable certified circular childrenswear collection, which was certified by the Circular Textiles Foundation, marking a significant paradigm shift in sustainable fashion. The brand’s initiative sets new standards for sustainability and longevity in garment production and fiber-to-fiber recycling. As a company deeply invested in supporting brands with the best low-impact trims, we at Trimco Group are thrilled to see Frugi receive the recognition they truly deserve.

A salute and congratulations to Frugi’s recognition

We are honored that Trimco Group had the privilege of supporting Frugi with the trims, hangtags, and care labels included in this wonderful initiative. We extend our full appreciation and congratulations on their recognition with their latest Draper’s Sustainable Fashion award.

Our input into Frugi's Recycle Me collection involves providing care labels, hangtags, and woven labels that not only enhance but also communicate the garments' sustainability. Each piece of trim designed for the Recycle Me collection was carefully chosen to make consumers aware of the garment's recyclability and recycling procedure. The QR code on a care label directs consumers to the proper recycling procedures page, illustrating Frugi’s approach to promoting sustainable consumption. The care label is produced to ensure that the QR code remains readable even after many washes, being able to inform the consumer, wherever the clothing has passed on. Additionally, the circularity logo displayed on another label symbolizes Frugi's initiative to close the loop in fashion production, raising awareness of the garment’s circular recyclability.

Supporting holistic sustainability efforts

As part of Frugi’s supply chain, Trimco Group is delighted to see a brand that truly uses trims as brilliant solutions to convey a long-term message and facilitate the implementation of an innovative initiative, bridging the brand with the end consumer. Reflecting on Frugi's remarkable achievement at the Drapers Sustainable Fashion Awards, we are proud to see such great progress in the textile industry. Read more about Frugi at welovefrugi.com.
