LifeID
The smart label for evolving apparel needs.
Rethinking garment identification with practical technology – today’s fashion industry faces expectations that extend beyond basic labeling. Operational accuracy, product transparency, and lifecycle tracking are not optional—they are increasingly standard requirements.
LifeID responds to these demands with a practical, multi-purpose solution — available with RFID, NFC, or QR code technology, depending on your needs.

What is LifeID?
LifeID is Trimco Group’s solution available as three distinct sew-in labels, each designed for specific purposes in apparel management.
QR Code-only
This label is designed for brands seeking a straightforward, accessible entry point into digital product engagement. The QR code links consumers directly to product information, care instructions, Digital Product Passport (DPP) data, and brand content — no app required.
Through Trimco Group's collaboration with Zappar, LifeID QR labels can be issued as Accessible QR codes — meeting accessibility standards to ensure the experience is inclusive for all consumers, including those using assistive technologies, especially developed for people with low vision or blind.
RFID and QR Code Combination
This label is engineered for supply chain operations, integrating RFID with a visible QR code. It supports efficient inventory tracking, loss prevention, self-checkout processes, and secure product authentication.
The RFID component currently serves internal logistics and management functions. The QR code acts as a bridge, providing access to supply chain data, Digital Product Passport (DPP) information, and foundational consumer engagement.
The distinction between internal (RFID) and external (QR code) engagement is evolving. As mobile technology advances to include native RFID reading capabilities, the potential for direct-to-consumer interaction through RFID is becoming a reality. This shift promises a more seamless and integrated experience, merging sophisticated back-end logistics with rich, user-facing applications directly on personal devices.
NFC
This label is designed for consumer interactions and engagement. Equipped with NFC, it enables consumers to authenticate products with a tap, access detailed product information, participate in brand loyalty programs, and receive content related to care instructions, brand values, or sustainability initiatives throughout the garment’s use. The NFC label enhances post-sale engagement and enables direct digital connectivity between brands and consumers.
